  • Budget slow phone

I bought it for 700 lei. It was slow for its time and it's even slower now. Not reliable as a daily driver. Low storage, decent display, battery lasts quite a while. Poor camera and performance.

  • This phone hits on a personal level

I loved this phone despite it being so buns, Me and my little sister (she was 4, I was 15 at this time) Had this phone. This was my first ever phone that had a near bezeless notch, It was also my first Samsung phone since 2017 (when me and my dad both owned a Galaxy S8) picked it up for about $50 at the local Walmart in 2021 after my iPhone 8's battery inflated. It looked like a very modern phone at that time, despite the big bezel at the bottom. This is a very strong phone, and it stores very strong memories, despite the storage and ram being embarrassingly low I still own one to this day, dropped it many times and it only got a slight crack on the side

    Pros
    • Great Battery
    • Great Memories
    • Best Call quality
    • Decent display, despite it being 720p and LCD
    • Super Cheap

  • Not a pleasant experience.

I bought this phone at a Family Dollar on Verizon a bit ago, and I was looking forward to liking this phone, but it's not a great experience. First of all, I was FORCED to activate the device on the Verizon network to get past setup, and removing the SIM after setup will cause the phone to lock up until you put the SIM back in. The display is terrible with really bad backlight bleed and absolutely terrible touch sensitivity that makes typing and swiping to unlock a frustrating headache. The cameras look beyond terrible on social media apps like Snapchat and perform extremely poorly in low light environments. The speakers are tinny, but not terrible. The only good thing about this phone is the battery life. I can leave the house with 100% and use social media, picture taking, streaming music etc and get home with 70% to spare. The battery is definitely multi-day.

    Pros
    • Absolutely stellar battery
    • "OK" cameras
    • Processor is fine
    Cons
    • Horrible touch sensitivity and display panell
    • Cameras perform terribly in low light
    • Mics are atrocious
    • Forced activation is scummy AF

Anyone looking for a device just for gaming is looking in the wrong place. It's excellent for basic use, but not good for gaming.

The design is basic, the screen isn't very appealing, it's an entry-level phone, only good for light social media use and calls, it has a basic battery, it freezes a lot even in its interface, it takes 2 minutes to turn on, its charger gets hot and takes a long time to charge the device. Its strong points are its durability and battery life.

It's really bad, it often lags, but this phone is often soaked in water and thrown around, but it's still strong, you know?

It's rubbish if you use it for gaming.

It's rubbish if you use it for gaming; I'd rather save up a little more for a better phone than deal with this headache every day.

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
