Good phone for the right price

I bought it with some doubts, but I think it's a very good phone for everyday use. The battery is good, although the processor isn't very good, but I think it's very smooth to use.

    Nice and slim

It's a nice, slim, and lightweight device. It's just sometimes a little slow when opening apps; maybe that will improve with updates.

    I expected more

The phone feels good in the hand, but the design is starting to look the same. The cameras and processor are just adequate. The biggest problem is the battery. Samsung seems too lax and isn't keeping up with the trend of increasing battery capacity. As a result, phones with 7000mAh batteries last all day, while with a Samsung, you won't even make it to midday. That's the reality. I don't recommend it. My other phone was an Honor Magic 7 Lite, better than the Samsung in every way. The problem with this phone is the screen; it breaks just by looking at it. It's the most fragile phone I've ever owned. €260, and it only lasted me a month. It's a piece of junk. This one does have a very good battery. A Samsung with a better camera and a battery like this would be fantastic. Samsung's prices should be more realistic. They offer the same as other brands for twice the price and always with a battery half the size.

Balanced and reliable but with a disproportionate initial price.

In Peru, the 12/512GB version was released for 2400 soles (US$699), but it wasn't worth it at that price. Weeks later, I managed to get it for 1930 soles (US$572) on their app. The battery life is very good for my heavy use of social media and photos, the brightness is decent, the design is good, the charging is decent but not as fast as the competition, the audio is decent but could be improved in my opinion, it runs One UI 8.5, the cameras are decent, and the selfie camera is very good in good conditions, although it doesn't have autofocus. The back should have been matte to reduce fingerprints.

    Fine

This phone is half as thin as the A55, the premium materials are what you pay for, and I was surprised by the battery life—it's lasting me more than a day (at 80%). It's also much smoother, especially the fingerprint reader. The bezels are thinner, and the screen looks bigger.

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
