The phone is thinner and lighter now, which I really like. But because it's still quite wide, it doesn't feel that comfortable to hold with one hand. The processor is only a little better than before, and the main camera is noticeably sharper than on the previous model. Colors look a bit more natural, and the dynamic range is better, but the ultra-wide camera is still pretty disappointing.
And that's basically all that's new. There's still no silicon-carbon battery, no telephoto camera like on Nothing phones, and no wireless charging. The base model also still comes with only 128GB of storage, and it launched at €529, which was way too expensive.
Now you can get it for around €300–350, and at that price it's a good phone. Not amazing, not outstanding, just good and a safe choice. Unfortunately, Samsung still plays it very safe and doesn't bring much innovation.Pros- Light and Thin

I've had it for less than three months, and honestly, its performance is decent for the price. The overheating is practically nonexistent. I've held an iPhone 17 Pro, and that's real heat. The A57 reaches a maximum of 37 degrees Celsius under normal use. Obviously, it also depends on the city's temperature, but it's a resounding "No" to say the A57 has thermal management problems. The cameras are very decent, not the best, but the selfie camera beats any competition at the same price. Its processor is very well-balanced; it's not the most powerful in its class, obviously, but it handles anything smoothly under moderate use. Finally, its battery life is almost the same as a Xiaomi that claims to have 6000 or 7000 mAh, because Samsung's software is well-optimized, and that makes a big difference. I'm happy with my purchase because I know my investment is secure for several years.

I wanted to try a mid-range Samsung to experience what so many people were recommending on social media. Unfortunately, it wasn't what I expected. Starting with the performance, which, considering the price of over $10,000 (at least in Mexico at launch), wasn't what I'd hoped for. It ran less demanding games "okay." The default camera left much to be desired. I absolutely had to use Pro mode to take photos. Otherwise, the images were simply bad. The screen is just okay, and the brightness in sunlight is lacking. The battery is the most redeeming feature; it charges quickly and fully in just over an hour, and the battery life was so long I almost had to charge the phone every two days.

Due to financial reasons, I had to make the difficult decision to sell my Galaxy S24 Ultra (512GB) and upgrade to the Galaxy A57 128GB. Obviously, the initial impact is daunting, but the truth is that the A57 surprised me positively. It delivers an extremely worthwhile experience for the price. The body is surprisingly thin (6.9 mm) and light, and the 120Hz Super AMOLED Plus screen is spectacular, maintaining that look I already loved in top-of-the-line phones. The Exynos 1680 processor handles daily use and social media well, although the loss of storage space from 512GB to 128GB forced me to manage my files more efficiently. It's not an Ultra, but it fulfills its purpose very well without causing frustration.
