  • Excellent phone with very good design, sound, display and camera and some extras that other flagman can only dream about.

Outstanding phone, excellent photos, gorgeous display, best sound. Actually sound is better than my friends iPhone 15 Pro MAX and very best videos. All back cameras can make quality videos 4k 120fps with stabilization on and record it directly to micro SD memory card. One of the first on the market got Android 14. Display is fantastic and battery hold well after day still has ~30%. The minus is weak flash. Although charging is only 30W Sony stated that after 3 year of using battery shall be not less than 80% of initial capacity. 5G is working perfectly in Iceland. No problem in cold weather phone is working fine, no overheating in hot weather.

    Pros
    • Video quality 4k 120fps + stabilization this is best on the market
    • Very good photo quality + optical zoom up to x5,2
    • Nice design, good battery live
    • Gorgeous 4k display, no overheating
    • Outstanding sound
    • Audio/microphone jack + memory card slot up to 1TB
    Cons
    • Flash is weak
    • 30W max charging speed
    • only phone in the box, no charger
    • pricey, if you not going to use 1TB microSD card

To appreciate, you have to understand.

An excellent camera, to appreciate the advantages you need to know how an SLR camera works. People with basic knowledge should choose devices with a more automated camera. I compared the capabilities of Xperia with Samsung S23 Ultra. Sony has natural and highly detailed photos, much more opportunities for creative photography. The sound is superior to the competition by a class. LDAC, Dolby Atmos, 360 reality audio... Brilliant built-in speakers. It is better equipped with RAM than the competition and much more efficient. It has pure Android. OLED HDR display in perfect proportions for me to work on two screens at the same time. Two-way inductive charging. I don't know who is doing the tests, but many important details about the Xperia 1V are simply omitted. The build quality is simply premium.

A premium smartphone with the best camera

Sony has made an effort for a very good camera, now we go from 12mpx to 48mpx for the main sensor. As usual very big performance, it can run Fortnite at 120fps, amazing. You know, 21:9 screen to watch movies. It's simple, it's great, we love it. All this to conclude that it is a very good smartphone

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
