  • Didn't keep it at the end

I have never owned a Xiaomi before so I was not expecting that I'm buying an android apple.
I love my nova launcher and it gives me plenty of functions I'm not willing to live without. I love android for this customisation. So xiaomi decided that's not the way they want it. First in MIUI14 you don't even have the option to set your default home app (you can get there through nova but it is hidden otherwise). Then if you like 3rd party launcher AND gesture navigation Xiaomi has a bad news for you. It is not possible to have both. This in my opinion is fundamentally not how you want any android device in your hands.

Otherwise all was fine but in general didn't get convinced and software limitations were a huge blow to me.

    Pros
    • JPGs are pretty decent in Auto mode
    • Charging speed and battery life is great
    • Screen has accurate nice colors

    Cons
    • Xiaomi system (see detailed comment)
    • RAW is very poor quality
    • Camera module frequently froze out (needs reset)
    • Aggressive ISO settings (too bright)
    • Camera module is a mountain: 13mm thick there...
    • Very top heavy, difficult to handle

A great cell phone for demanding people

The model is extremely powerful, very good for professional photos and the rest of the hardware is practically impeccable. This smartphone is a huge success from Xiaomi

The phone provides excellent performance for its money. I do not regret that I spent energy, time and money searching for him.

The quality of the photos is excellent, but there are some comments about the ultrazoom (in poorly lit rooms the picture begins to blur). GPS in the 2GIS application does not work perfectly (I look in one direction, but the application shows that I am looking in the other direction). At first it seemed that the sound was not uniform, but this was only because before that I did not have a phone with two speakers. The fingerprint sensor and face ID, if you can call it that, work great. All applications that were presented can actually be deleted. There are minor bugs with VKontakte music (sometimes when you turn off the music), a window remains that cannot be closed without rebooting the device, but this is a matter of optimizing VK.

    Pros
    • Charger
    • Camera(No zoom)
    • Design of the back and side covers
    • Glass
    • Filling
    Cons
    • Zoom
    • 9.8

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
