Fantastic phone. I change my Xiaomi Mi 9SE and this is 12/512 working perfectly. Screen is great, but sometimes you need to put in manual mode brightness on high daylight or in dark room. Picture quality is good, but I expected to be fantastic. Sound is perfect. Dust and water protection is perfect. I dropped from the boat in the sea and nothing happened, working perfectly. More than satisfied.

If you're in the market for a speedy device with an impressive rear camera and a smooth 120 Hz screen, this is a solid recommendation at around $700. Plus, it comes with the added benefits of dual SIM support, NFC, and wireless charging.
The rear camera performs admirably, nearly matching those found in iPhones and Samsung devices within the same price bracket. On the flip side, the front camera, sourced from Omnivision, falls slightly short in terms of sensor quality and features. It tends to produce unstable exposure, often on the overexposed side, and can only record at 1080p/30fps.
Battery life maxes out at about 1.5 days with typical use, but it's worth noting that the device tends to get quite warm during charging and gaming, reaching temperatures of up to 47 degrees Celsius in extreme cases. This warmth is perceptible on the outer surface due to the device's metal frame and glass back.
I'm optimistic that these issues will be addressed through future updates.Pros- Speed

The whole 13 line from Xiaomi this year has a very simple yet eye-catching camera island. Great OLED screen with fantastic color and an always-on display. 67W charging is more than plenty for most people (takes around 40 minutes to top up from 0-100). No headphone jack but has Dolby Atmos sound, above average loudspeakers. The IR blaster is a niche feature, but I do appreciate it being there. Selfie camera is blurry though, best to only use it for video call. Same goes for the ultrawide, fringing in low lights and pictures with a lot of noise. The telephoto and main cameras are absolutely fantastic though.

View answers - Terrible ram management
I've received this phone just yesterday, as it was supposed to replace my water damaged Motorola X40.
I have used it for a several hours but decided to sell it.
As for a comparison between mi13 and x40:
Mi 13 (CN rom):
Many more details in zoomed photos
Much better video stabilization (even without eis)
No screen flickering on max brightness
Many options in miui
Much less comfortable to hold than xiaomi mi6
A bit more comfortable to hold than x40
Bottom speaker is easy to cover when gaming
Top speaker is significantly weaker
TERRIBLE RAM management (kills last app after few minutes when using other app. Disabling miui optimization didn't change anything).
Stock screen protector was useless (distorting image and touch)
Has no macro camera
Has micro stutters in animations
Faster face & fingerprint unlock
Speaker loudness and clarity is worse than in X40.
After 5minutes using camera app it got bugged.
Is warmer (leather version) + thermal protection kicked in after 10min of benchmark dropping refresh rate and brightness
Refresh rate switches only between 60 and 120hz
No 4k using EIS
Battery life using messenger & browser was 50min for 10% on wifi (slightly worse than X40)
No hdmi output via usb C
It has AOD
No option to record video without microphone
Using front facing camera with screen "flashlight" doesn't turn up the screen brightnessPros- Good camera

It is a high-end entry-level device that performs very well in everyday use. I like its screen and its cameras, the processor is not to be mentioned, it is very powerful. However, a little more battery is missing and the 120w of other Xiaomi models. The unforgivable thing is the recording of the front camera at 1080p at 30 FPS, very bad.

- IP68
- Main camera

- Wireless charging
Cons- Battery a little short on intensive use
- Front camera

Score
- 8.9 Design & Materials
- 8.5 Performance & Hardware
- 8.0 Camera
- 8.6 Connectivity
- 6.0 Battery
In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:
- Design and screen
- Hardware and performance
- Camera
- Connectivity
- Battery
Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.
Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.
The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
