  • A phone with great Leica camera modules with mediocre operating system, it might be a great bang for buck device from Xiaomi.

Battery: for my experience, I have to charge it 1-2 times daily
Camera: works well in daylight, somewhat in nighttime
Software: minimal adwares inside the operating system
Software Updates: long term, maybe 6 years? can last me through my college journey

  • camera quality unfortunately falls short of the premium standard set by other brands in this price range.

Overall, I’m quite impressed with the phone’s design and general feel; it definitely has a lot going for it. However, I’m not entirely satisfied with the camera performance.

Despite the 'premium' branding, the image clarity doesn't quite meet my expectations, especially when compared directly to other smartphones I’ve used. If you're looking for top-tier photo sharpness, this might feel like a bit of a step down compared to other flagship models.

  • Powerful phone, great camera and zoom (mid ultrawide),

Upgraded from xiaomi redmi 5 plus so might be a bit too positive.
Bought for like 570$ from aliexpress delivered to Poland in a week from warehouse in france. Would consider 700$ an ok price.
    I have 512 gb variant.
Great main camera and zoom. Software for camera also good.
Ultrawide camera mid quality especially with close objects; irks me the most.
Done some night photos of Christmas lights big contrast very nice.
Downloaded some demanding games (RDR Minecraft Wreckfest Genshin etc.) to see how much power does it have; no issues high settings always.
I have big hands but would prefer smaller phone
Phones in similar price range have better batteries but I'm satisfied. Only using 20-80% of battery at home and work. Lasts even for long gaming sessions. So far never had to go charge battery because it was close to discharged.
Charges in a blink of an eye.
No scratches so far but I always use it in etui when at work and I work physically.
Hadn't yet dropped on anything hard but comes with protective glass from the box.
Feels real solid but not too heavy.
Great screen never had to go full brightness; will see if bright enough for summer light.
    Looks cool as heck.
Sometimes bad signal but I live in a village and my operator sucks.
Hadn't crashed on me yet. HyperOS 3 is pleasant but in general I don't really like Xiaomi ecosystem and apps; I try to go with google services where possible. AI not too forceful.
People hear me clearly and loud when calling.
Does not heat up very much during gaming but I use controller anyway so IDK.
Overall I'm still very exited after a few weeks from purchase.

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
