Released this October, the Blackview Shark 8 is an enticing prospect for users looking for a mid-range device. Boasting impressive specs and a few unique features, it won’t break the bank but will still deliver plenty of value for its cost.
Design & Materials
The Blackview Shark 8 looks stylish and modern. The body is made of plastic, but it still manages to look sleek with its smooth edges and slightly curved back. Its sizable 6.78-inch display is surrounded by a thick bezel, which technically reduces its usable surface area to 84.1%. But regardless, it’s still plenty large and has an LCD IPS resolution of 1080x2460 (FHD+) and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, as well as a peak brightness of 580 cd/m².
Audio-wise, the Blackview Shark 8 is also quite impressive. It has stereo speakers and supports Hi-Res Audio so you can enjoy your favorite tunes with crystal clear sound.
Hardware
Under the hood lies the MediaTek Helio G99 processor (MT6789) with 6nm technology. This is paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS Storage 2.2. AnTuTu (v10) scores are at 42000, which is decent for a mid-range device.
The Blackview Shark 8 offers great security options too. It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that’s quick and reliable, plus a cooling system to prevent overheating during heavy usage.

The Blackview Shark 8 comes with a triple camera setup. The standard 64.0Mpx shooter uses Samsung GW3 technology and has an aperture of f/1.69 and pixel size of 0.800. Battery
