Technical sheet of Doogee X97

Description

Introducing the Doogee X97 Mid-Range Smartphone The Doogee X97 has been announced as the latest mid-range smartphone from Chinese manufacturer, Doogee. It's set for release in July 2022 and offers a lot of great features for its price.

Design & Materials The Doogee X97 isn't the most attractive phone, but it has a modern feel that will appeal to many. It has a 6.00 inch LCD IPS screen with a resolution of 720 x 1440 (HD+). This gives an acceptable picture quality. The display features good viewing angles and enough brightness to get by.

The X97 uses plastic for its materials, which is common for phones at this price range. Despite this, it still feels strong and durable. The usable surface area is 73.04%, which is good for the price.

Audio is handled by the noise cancellation microphone, which is nice to have on a mid-range model.

Hardware It runs on MediaTek Helio A22 (MT6761) processor at 12nm. It can handle light applications with ease and even multi-tasking is possible. RAM comes in 3GB or 4GB choices, while storage is 16GB or 64GB. If you need more space, there is an external MicroSD card slot. It gets a good Antutu score of 94000.

Camera The Doogee X97 sports a dual camera setup. The standard camera is a Sony Exmor 8.0Mpx lens with f/1.8 and CMOS BSI technology. You also get a Portrait mode (depth) with 2.0Mpx and f/2.4. Selfies are taken with a Samsung 5.0Mpx lens with f/2.0 aperture.

Connectivity This phone offers Bluetooth 4.2, Dual SIM, and an audio jack.

Battery The Doogee X97 comes with a 4200mAh battery that supports 10W fast charge.

Overall, the Doogee X97 is an excellent mid-range smartphone that offers great value for money. It has a contemporary design, capable hardware and gaming performance, good cameras, and a decent battery life. It may not be the most stunning phone around, but it's functional and reliable.

    What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

    • Design and screen
    • Hardware and performance
    • Camera
    • Connectivity
    • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

    Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
