    Honor underrated brand

Honor is often overlooked, it makes excellent smartphones and even its mid-range models are premium in terms of materials and design. The Honor Magic 8 Lite performs very well under all daily stresses. The screen is truly satisfying in terms of brightness, definition, and colors. The audio is powerful with plenty of body and clear sound. Even at maximum levels, it doesn't distort, and there's even bass in some scenarios, perfect for movies and series. The battery is monstrous, easily lasting two days with medium/heavy use. It's not a camera phone, but the 108 megapixels and Honor processing do their job. Beautiful, sharp, lossless photos during the day take on a lower quality at night, but remain acceptable. The wide-angle lens is good during the day, but not at night. Videos are good in 4K, much better at 1080p 60fps, making it the best choice for me. Overall fluidity is satisfactory; I haven't encountered any hiccups, bugs, or lag.

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
