The Poco X4 GT is the latest mid-range smartphone from POCO, a company that is well known for offering good performance at an affordable price. The X4 GT comes equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max (5 nm) processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128 or 256GB of storage in UFS 3.1 format. It also has a 5080mAh battery with up to 67W fast charge, making it one of the most powerful devices in its category.

In terms of display, the Poco X4 GT features an LCD IPS screen measuring 6.60 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. It also has a brightness of 500 cd/m2 (typ), a contrast ratio of 1400:1, and support for HDR10, allowing the user to enjoy an immersive viewing experience.

In terms of audio, the Poco X4 GT comes with stereo speakers and Hi-Res Audio support, as well as Dolby Atmos for an all-around better sound experience. For materials, the device is made of glass and plastic, with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for added durability. As for design, the Poco X4 GT has a usable surface of 84.7%, making it both stylish and practical.

When it comes to cameras, the Poco X4 GT has a triple camera setup consisting of a Samsung Bright S5KGW1 64.0Mpx lens with f/1.89 aperture, an 8.0Mpx wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2.0Mpx macro lens with f/2.4 aperture. The selfie camera is an Omnivision OV16A10 16.0Mpx lens with f/2.45 aperture and 4K video recording capabilities.

In terms of connectivity, the Poco X4 GT comes with Bluetooth 5.3, dual SIM, NFC, Audio Jack, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), GPS (L1+L5), and infrared support. It also has a side fingerprint reader for added security.

However, there are some drawbacks such as the lack of wireless charging, water and dust protection, and the camera quality. Nevertheless, the Poco X4 GT is still a great option for those looking for a mid-range device that packs quite a punch. Other models in the same series include the Poco X4 NFC and the Poco X4 Pro 5G. The Poco X4 GT is set to be released in June 2022.

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
