POCO X4 Pro 5G – Next Generation Smartphone
POCO, a brand of Xiaomi, has recently announced the POCO X4 Pro 5G, their latest mid-range smartphone that is set to launch in February of 2022. This device will join the other models in the POCO X4 series, including the POCO X4 NFC and Poco X4 GT.
Design & Materials
The POCO X4 Pro 5G is an aesthetically pleasing device with beautiful metallic accents, made from both glass and polycarbonate. It features a 6.67 inch Amoled screen with a resolution of 1080x2400 (FHD+), a peak brightness of 1200 cd/m², and a 4500000:1 contrast ratio. Furthermore, it has a refresh rate of 120 Hz as well as HDR10 support. To add to its design, it also has stereo speakers and supports Hi- Res Audio and Dolby Atmos. On top of that, the usable surface of the device is 85.5%.
Hardware
Under the hood, the POCO X4 Pro 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 (SM6375) processor, which is 6nm based. It also comes with 6GB and 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB, 256GB and 64GB of UFS 2.2 storage, offering plenty of options for users to choose from. Additionally, there is an external storage slot for MicroSD. AnTuTu (v9) scores for this device are 395978, which is quite impressive for a mid-range device. Moreover, it features a side fingerprint scanner for added security and comes with a cooling system.
Camera
The POCO X4 Pro 5G houses a triple camera combo to satisfy photography enthusiasts. This includes a standard Samsung S5KHM2 108.0Mpx lens with a f/1.9 aperture, an 8.0Mpx wide angle Sony IMX355 lens with an aperture of f/2.2, and a 2.0Mpx GalaxyCore GC02M1 Macro lens with an aperture of f/2.4. On the front, it has a 16.0Mpx Selfie Omnivision OV16A1Q lens with a f/2.4 aperture and a 6P lens with an ultra-wide angle of 118º.
Connectivity
For connectivity and further usability, the device has Bluetooth 5.2, dual SIM, NFC, audio jack, and infrared port.
Battery
The POCO X4 Pro 5G also has a robust 5000mAh battery that supports 67.0W fast charging and ensures extended battery life.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the POCO X4 Pro 5G is an impressive mid-range smartphone that offers a robust lineup of features. This includes its powerful hardware such as the Snapdragon 695 processor, its advanced camera capabilities, and its long-lasting battery with fast-charging. However, it does have some drawbacks such as its lack of camera stabilization and the lack of video stabilization which could make night photos look grainy.

- This phone feels like it's 400€
Many people complain that the X4 is slow and worse than the X3 PRO but it's actually not that bad it's not an update nor a downgrade.
The X4 is meant to be a successor of the X3 NFC not the X3 PRO.Pros- OLED screen
