After the POCO X4 GT, it would be better not to buy this phone.

I've been using it for over 8 months. It costs more than 45,000 rubles. I recommend buying Oppo Realmi OnePlus phones because they'll be better suited for everything. This Redmi is ONLY for the cameras because the firmware is really bad. If you want Xiaomi phones, get the stripped-down POCOs; they'll be better.

    Pros
    • Chinese operating system, can be translated into Russian
    • Quick print, wallpaper from Xiaomi is mostly cars
    • Excellent quality photos and videos, max 8k 24/7
    • If you take the Lamborghini version, there is a glyph
    • All true 3 cameras, 60x maximum zoom
    • The connection is good, an island has appeared, it is very convenient
    Cons
    • You need to turn off AI and set up Google services on your phone.
    • You might not like the fact that it's 70% translated.
    • Xiaomi made a mistake on the Hyper 3, causing games to run at 60 fps.
    • The price on ozone is high: 45-60 thousand rubles.
    • The camera's maximum zoom is 6x, but it can be increased to 7.5x.

I bought it on a Russian marketplace in October 2025 for 35,000 rubles duty-free from Russia (apparently someone refused). The CN version of the smartphone imposes its own limitations. There's no guaranteed unlocking method on 4PDA. The Chinese version can be partially Russified and Anglicized. Some pre-installed apps required for system operation will still contain hieroglyphs. This is not very pleasant, but there is a built-in screen translator.

I'm not interested in smartphone games. I rarely edit videos or work with images. I mainly use it for social media, AI, and mobile photography. I bought this device because I trust the brand and don't like useless camera gimmicks. All the cameras are functional, and there's now an optical zoom with stabilization. I also like Xiaomi's native photo processing. I spent a lot of time reviewing the photo capabilities of various models. I decided to keep the smartphone after a photo shoot with it; the quality of photos for indoor social media is impeccable. Apps installed out of the box uninstall easily, even some system apps. Any system apps can be uninstalled via ADB. However, I don't recommend it, as some of them may be tied to operating system components. Parts of the interface in certain tasks may not display when certain system components are uninstalled.

The operating system is generally fine, but some high-tech features had to be omitted due to their inoperability in Russia. For example, full use of the AI assistant and widget feed. The phone has already been dropped from a chest pocket several times from a height of 1.5 meters onto various surfaces, even in the included case. After two months of use, it looks like new. The screen protector, however, seems durable and high-quality. While the oleophobic coating is good, it attracts a lot of static electricity. Several scratches have already appeared, including one that goes right through. Also, uneven surfaces, like cheap screen protectors, are now visible at an angle.

    Pros
    • a powerful and cool processor for everyday use
    • All camera modules are functional and have optostabilization
    • compact and ergonomic
    • Impact resistance, dust and moisture protection IP69
    • The screen is good, but not super.
    • large battery with powerful charging and reverse
    Cons
    • quality of the protective film
    • no bootloader unlocking
    • the sound didn't seem voluminous

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
