- great bang for buck
great for gaming but needs cooler otherwise the game may crash or the phone become too hot to touch
sustained stable performance at the cost of thermal throttle. camera is ok. charging speed is no longer as advertise in my experience charging peak at 26w 0-80% in 45min-ish 80-100% takes an extra 30 min. with new battery sot can get 6hr-7hr with 5G turn off. Now that my phone is at 80% battery health SOT becomes 4-5 hr if 120hz enables. Even with power saving mode 6hr SOT is hardly achievable. SOT=Screen On TimePros- ui

I really enjoy fast-charging, incredibly useful in many situations. The screen - no expert here, but I enjoy watching Netflix etc on this phone. I had some system lags, but nothing serious. My greatest complain is a lack of OIS. It makes a lot of my photos blurred because of the motion, and this makes me want to change it.

I used to have a oneplus 7 phone and although the battery life had passed 4 years, it was as long as the oneplus 9 I bought now. Battery and overheating problems can kill the entire android system except Oneplus!

The overall quality is good but there are a few things that make u think u should have chosen another brand. The battery drains kinda fast, but at least the 65w charge is so fast. The sound sucks. On games and daily use it runs smoothly but sometimes it get a little stuck for a millisecond. The cameras are great

This phone have literally everything u need and more. Only thing I miss it's a telephoto lens, but the main camera it's so good that compensate that. Battery doesn't get to the end of the day if u use it to much but it's the price to pay for 120 Hz and not having a brick of 5000 mAh.

View answers - Auto10.2025 I still have the phone, and even after buying the Oneplus 13, it remains as a second phone
Four years later, it's still relevant. You can't play ZZZ anymore (it's possible, but it lags), but as a second camera (and it's an excellent one) and as a small additional screen (small by today's standards), it's still relevant. Two-thirds of the battery life remains, enough for half a day of active use (still a lot for a four-year-old phone). As a lifesaver, it'll stay with me.

Score
- 6.8 Design & Materials
- 7.2 Performance & Hardware
- 7.3 Camera
- 8.2 Connectivity
- 5.7 Battery
In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:
- Design and screen
- Hardware and performance
- Camera
- Connectivity
- Battery
Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.
Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.
The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
