The OnePlus 9 also features stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos for a truly immersive audio experience, plus a noise cancellation microphone to make sure your conversations are crystal clear.

The body is made of glass, plastic, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5, with an impressive 86.8% usable surface area. Under the hood, the OnePlus 9 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 with 5 nm technology, and comes with either 8 or 12 GB of RAM (LPDDR5) and 128 or 256 GB of UFS Storage 3.1. Additionally, a Fingerprint Display provides added security.

For the camera, the OnePlus 9 boasts a triple camera setup comprising a standard Sony IMX689 sensor with 48MP, an f/1.79 aperture, and 1.120 pixel size, as well as a Sony IMX766 Wide Angle lens with 50MP, f/2.2, and a Black & White lens with 2.0MP, f/2.4. As for the selfie camera, the OnePlus 9 has a Sony IMX471 Exmor RS with 16MP, an f/2.4 aperture, and 1.000 pixel size. This phone also offers 4K video, 8K video, 7P lens, Hasselblad Camera, ultra wide angle 140º, 8K video 30fps, and 4K video 60fps.

Connectivity-wise, the OnePlus 9 comes with Bluetooth 5.2, Dual SIM, NFC, WiFi 6 (802.11ax), and GPS (L1+L5). Finally, a 4500 mAh battery with fast charge 65.0W, and wireless charge capabilities, provide more than enough power to keep the device running all day.

The OnePlus 9 series consists of other models as well, including the OnePlus 9 Pro, OnePlus 9R, OnePlus 9RT, and OnePlus RT. All of these models offer a great combination of performance and design, plus excellent cameras, making them all worthy of consideration.

Overall, the OnePlus 9 is an excellent smartphone with plenty of features and a great design. Its camera quality is exceptional and the wifi connectivity is excellent. However, it doesn’t offer water or dust protection and lacks a telephoto lens. Despite this, the OnePlus 9 is a great choice for anyone looking for a high-end device.

  • great bang for buck

great for gaming but needs cooler otherwise the game may crash or the phone become too hot to touch
sustained stable performance at the cost of thermal throttle. camera is ok. charging speed is no longer as advertise in my experience charging peak at 26w 0-80% in 45min-ish 80-100% takes an extra 30 min. with new battery sot can get 6hr-7hr with 5G turn off. Now that my phone is at 80% battery health SOT becomes 4-5 hr if 120hz enables. Even with power saving mode 6hr SOT is hardly achievable. SOT=Screen On Time

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
