- Super cheap functional everyday use phone
The Umidigi A11 Pro Max 8GB version is a great value phone with not the best build quality. It is a very cheap phone though so you cannot expect the build quality to be good at that super low price. Although I have only had my Umidigi A11 Pro Max for about 3 months and already it is giving me issues with the charging port not plugging flush with the charging cable which leads to it constantly switching between charging and not charging. It is very annoying and is progressively getting worse. The phone call quality on this phone is surprisingly amazing compared to most other big brand phones. The cpu is a meditek Helio G80 which by 2024 standards is quite outdated now. It however is capable of doing most of what you would want or need. It even runs most mobile games at medium settings. The model I got was the 8GB memory version and honestly in 2024 8GB of memory should be the standard size. This phone is by no means a powerhouse but it is a grear daily driver apart from the phone charger port issue it runs great. The battery lasts a day easily even under heavy use. The display is 1080p lcd which is very nice to watch movies and tv shows on. This is my primary phone I use currently and it is fantastic. There have been no updates for it though as it is an older Umidigi phone running Android 11. Still works fine for me but if you want the latest version of Android this phone is not for you. Overall a great daily driver phone with some build quality issues but you cannot expect much for a phone that costs under 200 USD. It also has a headphone jack.

I start with the bad: -The screen out of nowhere begins to touch itself. -Loss camera -No updates of any kind (it comes on Android 11 and that's where it stayed) -Prone to scratches on the camera module The good thing -The screen seems good to me for the price -An acceptable performance, bordering on bad in terms of processor -good design in terms of materials

After 10 months of use I decided to change it, when the speaker began to fail even though it is under warranty, many small things and frustrating Bugs, since I have the feeling that no update will ever arrive to correct them. For normal use it is fine, it moves fluidly, it has a good design and the materials look good, but the Wi-Fi has little range, the sound is quite poor, the battery lasts for the day if you don't spend too much time using it, bugs in the software, no updates and the basic camera, decent photos only in good light in favor.

At the time of choice, I filtered out several minimum features thinking about the long term, such as ROM, RAM and AnTuTu. I didn't care about the brand, but I prioritized the cost-benefit ratio and the finish. By the way the finish covers some of its sins, rss. Negative points: deviation of the image to the side when photographing by Whatsapp (corrected); poor screen brightness when used in full sun (auto brightness is not very effective); twice there was no internet signal on the street, but when turning on and off mobile data or airplane mode, it normalized; its 16.78 cm length is a bit uncomfortable in a trouser pocket; received an update in January/22, but the bugs remained. Positives: beautiful metallic blue finish; the image from the cameras is good, even at night (except if you need to photograph the PC screen, because interference appears); the battery lasts for more than a day with slightly above moderate usage. Despite the problems, the purchase still paid off. The 128 GB ROM x 8GB RAM model was purchased in January 2022 for US$ 195.00 in Brazil (it cost R$ 1,150.00 due to exchange and fees).

Score
- 6.8 Design & Materials
- 5.7 Performance & Hardware
- 6.5 Camera
- 7.1 Connectivity
- 6.3 Battery
In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:
- Design and screen
- Hardware and performance
- Camera
- Connectivity
- Battery
Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.
Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.
The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
