Technical sheet of Honor x8d
Description
Honor expands its mid-range portfolio in January 2026 with the Honor X8d, a smartphone designed around long battery life, a large high-refresh-rate display, generous storage options, and a capable high-resolution camera system. Built for users who want modern everyday performance without stepping into flagship pricing, the X8d combines practical hardware with several premium-facing features.
Its front is dominated by a 6.72-inch AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2392-pixel FHD+ resolution. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate, giving scrolling, animations, and compatible games a notably smoother appearance than conventional 60Hz screens. Typical brightness reaches 800 cd/m², while HDR10+ support improves contrast and color depth when viewing supported streaming content. With an 85.8% usable screen surface, the Honor X8d offers an immersive viewing area suited to video, social media, browsing, and gaming.
The device uses a polycarbonate chassis, a material chosen for its balance of durability and weight management. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protects the display, adding greater reassurance against daily scratches and minor impacts. Audio is handled by stereo speakers enhanced with Dolby Atmos, providing broader, more dimensional sound for movies, music, and mobile games than a single-speaker configuration.
At the core of the Honor X8d is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 processor, manufactured on a 6nm process. It is paired with 8GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage, ensuring ample room for applications, media, and high-resolution photos. For users who require even more space, the phone supports external storage through a MicroSD card slot in the SIM tray. Its AnTuTu v10 result of 641,416 suggests strong mid-range performance, with enough power for multitasking, demanding social apps, streaming, and most mobile games. Security is provided by a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, offering quick and natural unlocking.
Photography is led by a dual-camera arrangement. The primary Samsung ISOCELL sensor delivers 108 megapixels with an f/1.75 aperture and 0.800 µm pixel size, emphasizing detailed daylight photography and flexible cropping potential. It is joined by a 5-megapixel wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture, allowing users to capture wider scenes, landscapes, and group shots. On the front, a 16-megapixel CMOS selfie camera with an f/2.45 aperture handles video calls, portraits, and everyday self-portraits.
One of the Honor X8d’s defining strengths is its substantial 7000mAh battery. This unusually large capacity is aimed at users who prioritize endurance, potentially supporting extended use across demanding days of streaming, navigation, photography, and gaming. When charging is needed, 45W fast charging helps reduce downtime significantly.
Connectivity includes Dual SIM support, NFC for contactless payments and compatible accessories, and Bluetooth 5.1 for stable wireless connections. Overall, the Honor X8d presents itself as a well-equipped mid-range smartphone whose major advantages are its expansive AMOLED display, exceptionally large battery, versatile storage configuration, and high-resolution main camera.

I bought it at Coppel for moderate gaming, but it's garbage. It's incredibly laggy in less demanding games; only a few games run smoothly. For everyday use and basic tasks, it's more than enough and has good battery life, but if you want it for gaming, I don't recommend it. There are better options for the same price. They market it as mid-range, but they should market it as entry-level.
