  • Not a bad phone for kids, wouldn't recommend for daily use though.

I bought this phone a little bit ago on Verizon, and I've had a pretty meh experience with it. At the place I bought it (Dollar General), the phone retailed for $69, which doesn't seem too bad compared to other phones available for purchase at my location. Unfortunately, the mediocre price is quickly justified once you get the device out of the box. The first thing I noticed was the absolutely massive chin underneath the display that bothered me quite a bit, but again, $69 isn't a lot of money when it comes to making phones. Unfortunately, build quality on this unit is very poor. I have several instances where I have noticed audible creaking and just a really loose feeling while holding the phone. The display quality is also quite poor, peaking at 720p, 500nits. On the more positive side, the battery in this unit is absolutely stellar. I can start the day at around 10:30 with 100% battery, and with light to medium usage (Streaming YouTube videos, occasional picture taking, occasional phone calls, etc), by the time I get home at 19:00, I have around 20% to spare. To put it simply, the battery in the unit is better than my primary device (Samsung Galaxy A35 5G). On the audio part of things, this phone does feature a 3.5mm headphone jack on top of the device, which you might want to use because the on-board speaker on this phone has genuinely made my ears hurt at full volume.

    • Decent fingerprint reader
    • "Meh" display
    Cons

    It's a good team.

For the price and for the use that I give it as a secondary phone, it is honestly very good, and I am satisfied with the equipment.

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
