Technical sheet of Motorola Moto G72

Description

The Motorola Moto G72 is one of the newest mid-range smartphones to come from the well-known and respected brand. Released in October 2022, it has some impressive specs that are sure to make it popular amongst those looking for a device that offers a lot at an affordable price.

The design of the Moto G72 makes use of plastic for its body, with an 87.6% screen-to-body ratio giving it a sleek and modern look. The device is also equipped with a 6.60-inch OLED display and a resolution of 1080x2400 (FHD+). This is combined with a refresh rate of 120Hz and HDR10+ support so videos and photographs look clear and vibrant. It also features stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos technology to make audio sound sharper and more natural.

The processor at the heart of the Moto G72 is the MediaTek Helio G99 (MT6789), which is built on 6nm transistors. This is a powerful processor that ensures smooth operation of all applications and games. It is coupled with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS Storage for plenty of room for documents, photos, music files, and more. AnTuTu (v9) scores are impressive at 350000, showing how powerful the Moto G72 is. To keep your data secure, the device also has a Fingerprint Display scanner.

The Moto G72 has a triple-camera setup on the rear, the main 108.0Mpx camera having an f/1.7 aperture, a pixel size of 0.640, and a BSI CMOS Sensor. To capture a wider angle you have an 8.0Mpx lens with an f/1.9 aperture and a pixel size of 1.120. For macro shots, there is also a 2.0Mpx lens complete with f/2.4 aperture and a pixel size of 1.750.

In terms of connectivity, the Moto G72 is well equipped with Bluetooth 5.0, Dual SIM support, NFC technology, and an audio jack. There is also MicroSD card support to expand the device’s internal storage if needed.

Finally, powering all of this is a 5000mAh battery. This should provide enough juice for a full day’s use. If you do happen to run low on charge, the device supports 33W fast charging, allowing you to quickly get back up and running.

Overall, the Motorola Moto G72 is an impressive mid-range device. With powerful specs, a triple camera system, impressive connectivity features, and a large battery, it is sure to be a hit when it is released in October 2022.

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
