Introducing the Nubia Z50: A High-End Smartphone from Nubia

The Nubia Z50 is the latest addition to the Nubia lineup, bringing a high-end experience and cutting-edge features to the table. This smartphone has been designed with premium materials such as aluminium, faux leather and glass, giving it a luxurious look and feel. It has a super-bright 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080x2400 (FHD+), refresh rate of 144 Hz, maximum brightness of 1000 cd/m2 and a 3000000:1 contrast ratio. The display also features a dual edge design and HDR10+ technology.

The Z50 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor, which is built on a 4nm architecture – offering excellent performance and power efficiency. You also get 8GB, 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, along with 128GB, 256GB, 512GB or up to 1TB of UFS storage (3.1 or 4.0). It gets a solid score on AnTuTu v9 at 1255000, plus there is a fingerprint sensor embedded in the display for enhanced security. It also has a total heat dissipation area of 36462mm² thanks to its advanced cooling system.

In terms of cameras, the Z50 has a dual camera setup – one standard Sony IMX787 64.0Mpx f/1.6 CMOS BSI lens, and a wide-angle/macro Samsung S5KJN1 50.0Mpx f/2.2 ISOCELL lens. There is also an 8K video recording option, 35mm main camera, ultra-wide angle lens of 116º and 7P lens configuration. For selfies, you get the Omnivision OV16A1Q 16.0Mpx shooter. Optical stabilization (OIS) is also offered.

The Z50 features dual SIM capability, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Host 3.0, NFC, WiFi 6 (802.11ax) and GPS (L1+L5) . It is powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports fast charging up to 80W.

The pros of the Nubia Z50 include its powerful processor, sophisticated design and NFC connectivity. However, it lacks wireless charging, water and dust protection and a telephoto lens. Overall, it is an impressive high-end smartphone that is sure to impress. It is expected to be released in December 2022.

Good phone at a very good price

The Nubia Z50 is a phone that at first glance looks simple aesthetically but when you try it impresses with its Amoled screen and its Snapdragon 8 gen 2 processor that gives us a fluid process in the operating system both in demanding games and if we combine this with its 144hz it is pure fluidity to the maximum, Its battery is good it lasts a long time they are 5000 Mah which is casual in high-end phones, In the camera in my opinion it is good in close objects but in the zoom it only looks good at night, I'm not saying that it looks bad during the day but that it is an Intermediate, In video it can record at 4K 60fps and also at 8K. Between Nubia, ZTE and redmagic they are connected to each other and the Nubia Z50 has the game mode that the Red magic carry, This makes it a phone for daily use and gaming as I mentioned. The only problem I experience is the multi-touch when I use 3 fingers the screen is inactive from the previous click or touch, I don't know The truth is, whatever the cause of this may be, I have not seen cases like this in other models or purchases of this same one.

no Ki
  • 7.6 Design & Materials
  • 7.8 Performance & Hardware
  • 7.9 Camera

  • 6.6 Battery
What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
