Introducing the Poco F5 Pro: a Mid-Range Smartphone from POCO
POCO, Xiaomi’s sub-brand, recently launched the Poco F5 Pro, the latest addition to its mid-range smartphone lineup. Following the success of the Poco F5, the new pro model brings enhanced hardware and a sleek design that is sure to appeal to tech enthusiasts looking for a feature-packed device on a budget.
The F5 Pro features an impressive 6.67-inch OLED screen with a WQHD+ resolution of 1440X3200, 120 Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of 1400 cd/m², 5000000:1 contrast ratio, and HDR10+ support. To give users the best audio experience possible, it is equipped with stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio, and Dolby Atmos. The F5 Pro is made of polycarbonate and has a usable surface of 87.1%, giving it a stylish look and feel.
Underneath the hood, the F5 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 (4nm) processor and 8GB of RAM LPDDR5. Internal storage is provided by 256GB of UFS Storage 3.1 with an AnTuTu (v9) benchmark score of 1092896. Security is provided by a fingerprint scanner embedded into the display. To keep the device cool during long periods of use, POCO has fitted the F5 Pro with a 5000mm² stainless steel VC vapor chamber.
For photography, the F5 Pro has a triple-camera setup consisting of a 64.0MP Standard lens with f/1.79 and CMOS, an 8.0MP Wide Angle lens with f/2.2 and CMOS, and a 2.0MP Macro lens with f/2.4 and CMOS. Selfies are taken with a 16.0MP Omnivision OV16A1Q lens. Other features include Optical Stabilization (OIS) support, 4K and 8K video capabilities, 6P Lens, and 120º FOV Ultra wide angle lens.
As far as connectivity goes, the Poco F5 Pro has Bluetooth 5.3, Dual SIM, NFC, WiFi 6 (802.11ax), GPS (L1+L5), and Infrared. It covers most bases with ease. The battery is 5160mAh and supports fast charging at 67.0W, wireless charging, and reverse charging.
