Presenting the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G – A Mid-Range Smartphone for 2021

Later this year, Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy A52s 5G, a mid-range smartphone that promises outstanding specs at an affordable price. This device will be available in August 2021 and is sure to be a huge hit with customers looking for top notch performance without paying a premium.

Let's start by taking a look at the design and materials of the Galaxy A52s 5G. This device features a plastic body and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front. The 6.50-inch AMOLED display has Full HD+ resolution (1080x2400) and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It also has a peak brightness of 800 cd/m² and an impressive 84.5% usable surface. On top of that, Dolby Atmos audio brings a crisp and immersive sound experience.

Moving on to the hardware specs, the Galaxy A52s 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G (SM7325) chip based on a 6nm process. It comes with either 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. There’s also a MicroSD card slot for external storage. On AnTuTu (v9), the device scores a solid 547000. You also get a fingerprint display for added security.

The quad-rear camera setup consists of a 64MP Sony IMX682 Exmor RS primary lens, a 12MP wide-angle lens, a 5MP portrait mode (depth) lens and a 5MP macro lens. The device also features optical stabilization (OIS) for improved accuracy and clarity. For selfies, there’s a 32MP f/2.0 snapper.

As far as connectivity goes, the Galaxy A52s 5G offers Bluetooth 5.0, dual SIM, NFC, an audio jack and WiFi 6 (802.11ax). In addition, it packs a generous 4500mAh battery that supports fast charging up to 25W.

All in all, the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G looks like an excellent choice for those looking for a premium mid-range device without breaking the bank. With its impressive specs, sleek design and competitive pricing, we’re confident this device will be a success when it arrives in August 2021.

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
