The Samsung Galaxy S22 is the latest flagship phone from Samsung and it is set to be released in February/2022. The S22 is part of the Galaxy S series, which also include the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy S22+. The S22 is a high-end device that is designed to impress.
The design of the S22 encapsulates luxury and elegance. It is made up of an aluminium alloy frame and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ screen. The screen is a 6.10-inch Amoled display with a resolution of 1080x2340 (FHD+) and a peak brightness of 1300 cd/m². There is also a 2000000:1 contrast ratio and HDR10+. It also features a 120 Hz refresh rate, providing a smooth and enjoyable experience. The usable surface is 88.2%.
The hardware power of the S22 is backed by the Samsung Exynos 2200 (4nm) processor. The RAM is 8GB (LPDDR5) and the storage goes up to 256GB (UFS Storage 3.1). On the AnTuTu (v9), the S22 scored 889845. Security features include a Fingerprint Display for added protection. In addition, the S22 has a cooling system to prevent overheating.
In terms of the camera, the S22 has a triple-camera setup. The primary camera is a 50.0Mpx Samsung GN5 shooter with f/1.8 aperture and ISOCELL technology. For wide angles, there is a 12.0Mpx Sony IMX713 lens with an f/2.2 aperture and pixel size 1.400. Lastly, the telephoto lens is a 12.0Mpx Sony IMX772 with an f/2.4 aperture and pixel size 1.000. There is also Optical Stabilization (OIS), 8K video recording, Ultra wide angle 120º and Telehpoto sensor for auto focusing (PDAF), OIS and 3x optical zoom. On the front, there is a 10.0Mpx camera with an f/2.2 aperture and pixel size 1.220.
Connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.2, Dual SIM, NFC, WiFi 6 (802.11ax), eSIM, Dual SIM + eSIM, Samsung DeX, Samsung Wireless DeX and more.
The S22 has a 3700mAh battery that supports 25w fast charging and wireless charging. The S22 runs on the Samsung Experience UI based on Android 11 and One UI 3.0.
