When it comes to high-end smartphones, few names hold as much prestige and recognition as Samsung. Renowned for their cutting-edge technology, sleek designs, and exceptional performance, Samsung has consistently delivered top-of-the-line devices that cater to the needs of even the most demanding users. Continuing this legacy, Samsung is set to release its highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S24+ in January 2024, alongside its counterparts, the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. Packed with impressive features and boasting an exquisite design, the Samsung Galaxy S24+ is poised to take the smartphone market by storm.

Design & Materials

One glance at the Samsung Galaxy S24+ is enough to evoke a sense of awe and admiration. Sporting an AMOLED screen measuring 6.70 inches, this smartphone offers a visual experience that is nothing short of breathtaking. With a resolution of 1440x3120 pixels (WQHD+), users can expect sharp and vibrant visuals that bring their content to life. The screen's refresh rate of 120 Hz ensures buttery smooth scrolling and seamless transitions, adding a touch of elegance to every interaction.

In terms of durability, Samsung Galaxy S24+ leaves no stone unturned. The device is crafted using premium materials such as aluminum and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, ensuring a sturdy build that can withstand the rigors of daily use. Furthermore, the device's screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, providing enhanced resistance against scratches and accidental drops. With a usable surface area of 91.8%, users can enjoy an immersive and uninterrupted viewing experience.

Hardware

Underneath its sleek exterior, the Samsung Galaxy S24+ boasts an impressive array of hardware components that elevate its performance to new heights. Equipped with the Samsung Exynos 2400 (4nm) processor, this smartphone delivers lightning-fast speeds and seamless multitasking capabilities. Whether you're gaming, streaming content, or running resource-intensive applications, the Samsung Galaxy S24+ can handle it all with ease.

To complement its powerful processor, the Samsung Galaxy S24+ is equipped with a generous 12GB of RAM, ensuring effortless multitasking and smooth performance even when faced with demanding applications. Additionally, users have the option to choose from two storage capacities – 256GB or 512GB – providing ample space for all their files, photos, and videos. With UFS Storage 4.0 technology, data transfers are faster than ever, allowing users to spend more time enjoying their content and less time waiting for files to load.

For those who value benchmark scores, the Samsung Galaxy S24+ does not disappoint. With an impressive AnTuTu score of 1639695, this smartphone ranks among the top devices in terms of performance, solidifying its status as a true powerhouse.

Security is also a top priority in the Samsung Galaxy S24+. With an ultrasonic fingerprint display, users can rest assured that their personal data remains safe and secure at all times. This advanced biometric authentication system offers fast and accurate fingerprint recognition, ensuring that only authorized individuals can access the device.

Camera

As photography has become an integral part of our lives, smartphone cameras play a crucial role in our decision-making process. The Samsung Galaxy S24+ excels in this department with its impressive triple-camera setup. The main camera features the Samsung GN5 sensor, offering a staggering 50.0 megapixels with an aperture of f/1.8. This state-of-the-art sensor delivers exceptional image quality, capturing every detail with unmatched clarity and color accuracy.

Accompanying the main camera is a wide-angle lens, boasting a resolution of 12.2 megapixels and an aperture of f/2.2. This lens is perfect for capturing expansive landscapes or fitting multiple subjects into the frame. Additionally, a telephoto lens with 10.0 megapixels and an aperture of f/2.4 enables users to get up close and personal with their subjects, making it ideal for portrait photography.

Selfie enthusiasts will not be disappointed with the Samsung Galaxy S24+. With its 12.0-megapixel front-facing camera, users can capture stunning self-portraits with ease. The CMOS sensor and f/2.2 aperture work together to ensure clear and vibrant selfies, regardless of the lighting conditions.

To further enhance the photography experience, the Samsung Galaxy S24+ offers a range of features, including optical stabilization (OIS), 4K video recording, and even the ability to shoot in stunning 8K resolution. Additionally, the device boasts optical zoom capabilities of up to 3x, allowing users to capture distant subjects without compromising on image quality.

Connectivity

In today's interconnected world, staying connected at all times is essential. The Samsung Galaxy S24+ excels in this aspect, offering a comprehensive range of connectivity options. With Bluetooth 5.3, users can effortlessly connect their devices and enjoy wireless audio streaming. Dual SIM functionality allows for increased flexibility, enabling users to manage personal and professional contacts simultaneously. Furthermore, NFC technology facilitates seamless contactless payments, eliminating the need to carry physical cards or cash.

The Samsung Galaxy S24+ also utilizes WiFi 6 (802.11ax) technology, ensuring lightning-fast internet speeds and a stable connection even in crowded environments. With GPS support (L1+L5), users will never get lost, as the device provides highly accurate location information. Additionally, the presence of an eSIM allows users to switch between carriers without the need for physical SIM cards, providing added convenience.

Battery

A smartphone's battery life can make or break the user experience. Understanding this, Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S24+ with a robust 4900mAh battery. This substantial capacity ensures all-day usage without having to worry about running out of power. In case you find yourself in need of a quick recharge, the device supports fast charging at an impressive rate of 45.0W. Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy S24+ offers wireless charging capabilities, allowing users to conveniently power up their device without the hassle of cables.

One unique feature that sets the Samsung Galaxy S24+ apart is its reverse charging capability. This means that not only can it charge itself and other devices wirelessly, but it can also be used as a power bank to charge other compatible devices. This versatility ensures that users are always prepared, even in situations where power outlets are scarce.

Conclusion

With its exceptional design, powerful hardware, impressive camera capabilities, and extensive connectivity options, the Samsung Galaxy S24+ firmly establishes itself as a high-end smartphone that caters to the needs of discerning users. Whether you're a photography enthusiast, a multitasking professional, or a technology aficionado, the Samsung Galaxy S24+ is designed to meet and exceed your expectations. What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
