Introducing the Samsung Galaxy S23+

The Samsung Galaxy S23+ is one of the newest smartphones from the South Korean electronics giant. Samsung has been in the smartphone industry for a long time now, and they have always strived to bring their customers the latest and greatest technology. The Galaxy S23+ is no exception. It is a high-end device that offers both power and sophistication.

The Galaxy S23+ comes with a 6.60-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080x2340 (FHD+) and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. As for brightness, it offers up to 1200 cd/m² with a contrast ratio of 3000000:1. It also supports HDR10+, so you can enjoy vivid colors and sharp contrast. On the audio side, it has a set of stereo speakers and supports Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos. The body is made of aluminium and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, making it very durable and resistant to scratches. The Gorilla Glass Victus 2 provides excellent protection against fingerprint smudges and scratches, as well as ensures a full usable surface of 89.2%.

Under the hood, the Galaxy S23+ comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 (4nm) processor, 8GB of RAM (LPDDR5X) and either 256GB or 512GB of UFS Storage 4.0. According to the AnTuTu v9 benchmark, it scores an impressive 1211566. Other features include a Fingerprint Display for security, a triple camera setup consisting of a 50.0MP Samsung GN5 main camera, a 12.2MP Sony IMX564 wide angle lens, and a 10.0MP telephoto lens. There’s also a 12.0MP selfie camera. All cameras feature Optical Stabilization (OIS), supporting 4K video recording as well as 8K video recording and 5x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom.

In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy S23+ supports Bluetooth 5.3, Dual SIM, USB Host 3.0, NFC, WiFi 6 (802.11ax), GPS (L1+L5), and eSIM. It also has a 4700mAh battery that supports fast charging at 45.0W and wireless charging.

The Samsung Galaxy S23+ sits in the middle of the Galaxy S23 series, with the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and Samsung Galaxy S23 being its siblings. The latter two devices come packed with even more features, such as a larger 6.90-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440x3200 (QHD+), up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS Storage 4.1.

Overall, the Samsung Galaxy S23+ is certainly a device to watch out for. With its powerful specs and sleek design, it’s sure to be a hit when it launches in February 2023.

    What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

    • Design and screen
    • Hardware and performance
    • Camera
    • Connectivity
    • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

    Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
