The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 is the latest addition to the premium foldable smartphone range from Samsung. Released in July 2023, this device is the culmination of years of research and development by the South Korean tech giant. With a sleek design, powerful specifications, and impressive features, this is the perfect tool for any user who wants a premium experience on-the-go.
The first thing that stands out about the Galaxy Z Flip5 is its design. Despite being relatively small, the 6.70" Super AMOLED screen offers up to 1080x2640 resolution and an impressive refresh rate of 120 Hz. In addition, with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 at the back and Gorilla Glass Victus protection at the front, this device is incredibly resilient and durable. It also has a usable surface area of 85.2%, giving it an edge over other foldable devices on the market.
Inside the Galaxy Z Flip5 is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen2 (3,36 GHz) processor with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256/512GB of UFSStorage 4.0. This combination allows for a smooth, lag-free experience and AnTuTu (v9) benchmark scores of 1297000 making it one of the most powerful smartphones available. Security wise, the Galaxy Z Flip5 features a fingerprint scanner which is located on the side of the device.
In terms of cameras, the Galaxy Z Flip5 boasts a dual-camera setup at the back. The 12.0Mpx primary camera is equipped with an f/1.8 lens and 1.800 pixel size CMOS, and the secondary 12.0Mpx wide-angle lens comes with f/2.2 and a CMOS sensor. For selfies, the 10.0Mpx front camera with an f/2.4 lens and 1.220 pixel size CMOS provides excellent images. Other camera features include optical stabilization (OIS), 4K video recording, HDR10+ recording, and tracking AF.
As for connectivity, there is Bluetooth 5.3, dual SIM slots, NFC, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), GPS (L1+L5), and eSIM support. Moving on to the battery side of things, the Z Flip5 sports a 3700mAh battery with 25.0W fast charging and wireless charging capabilities. Additionally, the phone also supports reverse charging so you can charge other devices.
In conclusion, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 is an impressive foldable smartphone that offers superior performance, durability, and features. With a beautiful design and powerful specs, it’s perfect for those who want a high-end experience on the go. The only downside is that it’s a bit fragile and lacks an FM radio.

- Z Flip5: a curious, but fun smartphone
the Samsung Z Flip5 is one of the best phones you can get in the (certainly older) foldable market, with an enormous jump in battery, processor and external display, the Z Flip5 is an absolute evolution from the older generation.
with one of the most attractive and polished designs Samsung has ever made, the Z Flip5 has a big advantage over tranditional smartphones as an stylish, comfortable and unique device.
even though this is a really beautiful device, under the hood hides the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, scoring over 1.200.000 points on AnTuTu, it's one of the most powerful and flagship-like processors you can get for a lower price than usual. accompanied by the smooth and great One UI, and 8 gigabytes of RAM, this device runs smoothly for casual and everyday use.
it's almost edge-to-edge external display is one of the biggest differences between the Flip5 and Flip4; now being able to run full on games, apps, and display and answer messages and notifications, making it a really convenient smartphone for portability and comfort.
even though this phone has a lot of great things to offer at an now lower price thanks to the second-hand market, it has certain weak points that make it a phone to even doubt to buy.
firstly, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, even though powerful; tends to overheat over not-so light use. this point worsens even more considering it's little 3700mah battery, which gives around 5-6 hours of screen time.
secondly, even though you can take selfie photos with your main camera thanks to the big external display; the actual selfie camera can be quite disappointing.
thirdly, as one of the most well-known weak points of foldable phones is it's durability; it is a phone you have to take constant care. the crease can become certainly notable after half a year or a year of use. and, if the screen (hopefully) doesn't break, the screen protector will start peeling off, which is the ideal.
this phone is rather great, but there are drawbacks.Pros- Design

View answers - AutoIt's a good phone, but not for everyone.
In my opinion, it's a very nice phone. Very comfortable, but I feel the only advantages I see are two: the hinge, which, if I use it for more than a year, will break, and the screen. I feel like it will break with any fall. If you have it, it's excellent.
