Introducing the Xiaomi Mix 4 – a High-End Smartphone with Unsurpassed Design and Performance
The Xiaomi Mix 4 is the latest flagship model from the Chinese consumer electronics giant Xiaomi. It was announced in August 2021 and promises to deliver a powerful combination of elegant design and cutting-edge features. Internally, it features the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ (5nm) processor, up to 12GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 128GB to 512GB. On the external side of things, the Mix 4 boasts a breathtaking 6.67” AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080x2400, HDR10+, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, max brightness of 800 cd/m2, and a 5000000:1 contrast ratio. The phone also features stereo speakers and Hi-Res audio certified by both Harman Kardon and Hi-Res Audio Wireless.
Design-wise, the Xiaomi Mix 4 sports an all-ceramic body and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on the front for maximum protection against nicks and scratches. It has an impressive usable surface area of 87.3%, putting it among the top phones when it comes to this metric.
For imaging, the Xiaomi Mix 4 sports a triple camera setup composed of a 108Mpx standard Samsung Bright S5KHMX lens, a 13Mpx f/2.2 wide angle lens and an 8Mpx f/4.1 telephoto lens. It also features optical stabilization, 4K and 8K video recording, a 20Mpx under-display selfie camera, and support for up to 5x optical zoom with OIS.
The Xiaomi Mix 4 also has a number of unique hardware features that set it apart from the competition. These include a 1206mm² large surface 3D graphene board, a 4932mm² medium frame dual 40um graphene, a 5150mm² dual 40um graphite, and a X-axis linear motor. In addition, it features a 4500mAh battery with 120 watts fast charging technology.
When it comes to connectivity, the Xiaomi Mix 4 supports Bluetooth 5.2, Dual SIM, NFC, WiFi 6 (802.11ax), GPS (L1+L5), Infrared, and a new wireless technology called UWB which supports ultra-wide bands in the 65GHz and 8GHz ranges. The UWB connection should help reduce latency and increase accuracy when connecting to other devices.
All in all, the Xiaomi Mix 4 looks to be an excellent choice for anyone looking for a powerful, high-end smartphone. Its design is elegant and modern, its hardware is top-of-the-line, and its camera and connectivity features are second to none. The only potential downsides are its lack of a mini jack port, its weight, and the fact that it does not have an FM radio.
