  • Big value

Somehow Motorola has a better stock Android experience than Google's Pixel. Things work well, feel smooth, and there's not much bloatware.

The cameras are better than I had expected. They take good to decent photos. Macro mode is nice.

Performance is mostly good, though it does lag with certain apps (example: Snapchat, when recording a video that uses an intensive filter). Most other apps run considerably better than my Pixel 8, even though the Pixel 8 benchmarks are higher.

Speakers are ok to pretty good. With Dolby Atmos, it is fun to try out different settings.

The display looks nice and bright, though I don't care for the edge display that much, but that's my opinion.

Excellent battery: lasts all day and charges quickly.

It's a big phone, but it doesn't feel big.

    It's a surprisingly good device.

    Great phone and excellent battery

In my opinion, it's an underrated phone, mostly because its initial price was somewhat high. But now with discounts, the phone runs extremely well, super fluid, with a clean, almost stock Android system, with Motorola's additions. Motorola's gestures for the camera and flashlight are simply brilliant. The battery is excellent; sometimes, even when playing games for extended periods, it easily exceeds 6 hours of screen time. It can easily reach 8 hours, in my opinion, if it doesn't play demanding games. The performance isn't the best, but it's quite acceptable for daily use. The sound is acceptable but could be better. In good lighting, the photos are very good, but in low-light conditions, I wouldn't say it's as good. Overall, it's a very good phone, just not for its initial price.

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
