Surprised with the Oppo Reno 8 PRO

If I had to highlight some features of this mobile, they would be: design, low weight, the result of the photos and videos you can take, fast battery charging process and excellent performance of both the mobile and the screen. Going into details: the design differs from what we were used to: straight edges and a flat screen, which make it elegant and attention-grabbing. I was used to mobile phones in this range having to weigh more than 200 grams, but this model weighs only 183 grams. 6.7-inch screen that occupies almost the entire screen area, even the front camera at the top, which is centered in this model, is part of the screen. Big difference between the refresh rate of 60 Hz and 120 Hz (it can be configured, and with 60 Hz we reduce battery consumption, but visually we will notice differences in the fluidity of the screen, something that we achieve with 120 Hz). At last I find a mobile of this price range and range that is worth it for the photographs and videos that you will be able to take. Highlight the photographs and videos taken in low light, photographs are obtained with vivid colors and a light that does not exist in reality. Also highlight the portrait mode, which blurs everything that is not the face of the people portrayed. The battery charges in less than 1 hour. Regarding the MediaTek Dimensity 8100-MAX processor with 8 gigabytes of RAM (being able to increase it by 5 gigabytes if you have free storage space with Android 12) and 256 gigabytes of storage, which will make you not have the feeling of slow performance. In short, it is a high-end mobile at an affordable price, compared to models in this range, which will not disappoint you, with which you ensure quality photographs, ultra-fast charging and performance of both the screen and the processor that will leave you with a good feeling of fluidity. Without a doubt, a good acquisition.

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
